There are many ways to pay for goods and services, depending on your age and the account you have. You can use a Solo card or a debit card, or telephone or Internet banking. Most people, however, still need to write cheques sometimes.
Never send cash through the post. If you need to send a payment for something it is much safer to write a cheque, but make sure that all the details are filled in correctly.
Most accounts allow you to have a cheque book when you are either 16 or 18, but don’t give you a cheque guarantee card (which you need in order to use cheques to buy things in shops) until you are 18.
Your task is to fill in the cheque correctly.
